Horse Healing
What Is Horse Healing?
Sophie is dedicated to advancing equine health through her extensive training in specialized therapies.
She has embarked on a journey with Emmetts4horses, having completed 2 levels and working towards becoming a practitioner. Sophie has observed significant improvements in her horses' mental and physical health using the Emmett Technique.
In addition, she is studying the Scenar for Equine course, which offers lasting relief from acute and chronic pain and supports the body’s healing process. This therapy can complement osteopathy treatment or be used independently.
Sophie is also undertaking a Red Light Laser Therapy course, focusing on various treatments including wound care, ligament injuries, muscle tension relief, improved circulation, accelerated healing, arthritis management, and muscle recovery from training.
Her goal is to enhance the well-being of as many horses as possible through these advanced therapeutic techniques.
What is Emmett?
It is based on the belief that the brain has the ability to self - evaluate and re-calibrate using sensory receptors within the body. Using light pressure the technique works on unique micro points within muscles and muscle groups. The technique needs to be performed with the right pressure, in the correct direction and with precise timing to achieve the best outcome.
How Emmett works?
This gentle and safe muscle release technique can be used to address pain and discomfort, improve body movement and restrictions.
Symptoms which may be relieved:
-
Injuries from sport or accidents
-
Unbalanced gait/stance
-
Lead/harness strain
-
Lower back distress
-
Inhibited movement/muscle restrictions
-
Poor performance / behaviour changes
The results can be dramatic even for first-time clients. Accurate and fast assessments of imbalances in the body are an integral feature of this technique.
An EMMETT treatment improves recovery from workouts helping competition horses and dogs achieve peak performance, along with addressing lameness, muscle restrictions, saddle soreness, uneven gait and lack of performance.
